Required Network Settings

For all network clients, we require you use an automatically assigned IP address (via DHCP), without any proxy servers.

Can has gigabit?

Yes, you can has gigabit. The entire allocated seating area is full gig.

I want to run a server at the LAN.

SAGAFest runs a "farm" for game servers and game-related servers at the event. You will be required to have setup remote access for your server (a display and input devices are provided only to get the system operational, after which point they are disconnected). Farm computers are very close to the backbone, and do not have the interference of network traffic from other computers on your table. All file servers are prohibited from being on the farm, and all connections on the farm are locked to 100mbit/s, with a gigabit uplink to the backbone.

I have special network or power requirements.

You will need to indicate this when making a seating reservation.   We cannot guarantee availability, and if you do not organise this in advance of the event, it will be refused.
